by The Chocolate Dictionary
Of this third century saint’s life, of the good works he performed, and of the wise words he spoke, virtually nothing is recorded. Other than he was a Roman citizen, and died on the 14th February, everything we know about him is conjecture. Opinion favours the view however that he must have been a man of strikingly attractive appearance, perhaps with lustrous chocolate-brown hair, skin the colour of caramel, lips as full as rose crèmes, and eyes as luscious as fresh cream pralines. Is it any wonder so many millions of chocolates are given on the day of his commemoration?
