A chocoman is the kind of sexy but dangerous male charmer best described as, “like chocolate – sinfully good, but bad for the health”. Daniel Cleaver in Bridget Jones’s Diary, is certainly one of them, and can be said to practically own the definition. But there are plenty more: Sean Connery as James Bond, Gary Myers the original Milk Tray Man,  Jonathan Cake who plays the cad in most of his movies, and Mr Darcy himself from Pride and Prejudice, to name but a few. Every romantic hero has something of the chocoman about him, it’s part of his appeal, for actors and musicians are all the more ‘yummy’ for being a bit risqué, like a liqueur.
